We're residential only, by choice. That means we're not squeezing your ceiling fan install between two commercial jobs, and we're not sending a different tech every visit. It also means the work we do all day is the work most homeowners actually need — fans, fixtures, outlets, switches, cameras, chargers, and figuring out why half a room lost power.

We're based in Sevierville, which puts most of Knoxville within a comfortable drive. South Knoxville, Island Home, and the Chapman Highway corridor are especially close for us.

Knoxville has the oldest residential housing in our whole service area, and that shapes almost every job here. Fourth & Gill, Old North Knoxville, Park City, Lonsdale, Island Home and Sequoyah Hills have homes originally wired in the 1920s through the 1950s. Many were updated once, often in the 1970s or 80s, which means the newer wiring in those houses is now itself around forty years old.

Practically, that produces a predictable list of findings. Two-prong ungrounded outlets in original rooms. Backstabbed receptacles that have loosened over decades. Aluminum branch wiring in homes built or rewired between roughly 1965 and 1973. Knob-and-tube remnants abandoned in place — sometimes safely, sometimes still energized. Federal Pacific Stab-Lok and Zinsco panels that insurers now ask about by name. Grounding systems that were code-compliant then and would not pass today.

West Knoxville is a different picture. Bearden, Farragut, Hardin Valley and the subdivisions off Kingston Pike are mostly 1990s and newer with 200-amp service and clean Romex. The single most valuable thing an electrician can do in an older Knoxville home is tell you the truth about what's in the walls. There's a version of this trade that finds knob-and-tube in an attic and quotes a whole-house rewire on the spot. There's another version that ignores it entirely. Neither is right.

Our approach is to test. We check whether abandoned wiring is actually energized, whether grounds are present and effective, whether aluminum branch connections have been properly pigtailed with listed connectors, whether neutrals are shared in ways current code wouldn't allow, and whether the panel and grounding electrode system are sound. Then we give you a prioritized list: safety items first, convenience items second, nice-to-haves last.

Most older Knoxville homes don't need a full rewire. They need a handful of specific corrections, done properly, in the right order.

Knoxville has one of the higher EV adoption rates in East Tennessee, and home charging is the entire reason owning one is convenient. A Level 2 charger on a 240V circuit takes a full charge from a day and a half down to overnight.
